Terms and Conditions

Advanced Visalia Concrete, concretevisalia.com, projects@concretevisalia.com
Accepting these terms
These terms apply when you use this website or hire Advanced Visalia Concrete for concrete work. By browsing the site, sending us a request or booking a job, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
"We," "us" and "our" mean Advanced Visalia Concrete, a concrete contractor in Visalia, CA. "You" means the person using the site or the property owner who hires us. If a signed contract or written estimate for your job says something different from these terms, the signed document controls for that job.
The services we offer
We build and repair concrete flatwork, which covers driveways, patios, sidewalks and garage floors. We also build steps, retaining walls, footings, slab foundations, pool decks and decorative and stamped surfaces, and we raise foundations and cut concrete. You'll find the full list on our home page, and you can learn more about our crew on our about page.
The descriptions on this site are general information about our work. They don't promise a result for your property, because every job depends on the ground, the drainage and the condition of what's already there. The scope of your job is whatever your written estimate or contract describes.
Estimates and pricing
We give free quotes on site, and there's no pressure to book. An estimate is based on what we can see and measure the day we visit, so it reflects the size of the area, the thickness of the slab, the finish you choose, how much old concrete has to come out and how much work the base needs.
Some conditions only show up once the old slab is removed or digging starts, such as soft or wet soil under the slab, buried roots, old debris or utility lines. If we find something that changes the work, we'll stop, explain it to you and get your approval before doing extra work or charging for it. Unless your estimate says otherwise, an estimate is good for 30 days, because material costs change.
Any price you see on this website is general information only. It is not an offer and it is not your price.
Scheduling, weather and cancellation
We'll agree on a start date with you and do our best to keep it. Concrete depends on the weather, so heat, rain, wind or a late material delivery can move a pour, and we'll reschedule rather than pour in conditions that would weaken the slab. We'll let you know as soon as we know.
New concrete needs time to cure, which is the wait while it hardens and gains strength before it can take foot traffic or a vehicle. We'll tell you when it's safe to walk and drive on your slab. Damage from using it sooner, or from people, pets, vehicles or sprinklers on fresh concrete, is not covered by us.
If you need to cancel or move your job, call us at (559) 820-0664 as early as you can. If we've already ordered materials, built forms or done site work for your job, you may be charged for those costs. Your contract may set out other cancellation terms, and those control for your job.
Payment terms
Your estimate or contract states the price, any deposit and when payments are due. Unless it says otherwise, the balance is due when the work is complete.
If a payment is late, we may pause work until it's paid. You're responsible for reasonable collection costs if an unpaid balance has to be collected, to the extent California law allows. As a contractor, we may also have lien rights on the property under California law until we're paid in full.
Your property and access
You agree to give our crew safe access to the work area and to tell us about anything we should know before we dig or pour, including sprinkler lines, private utility lines, septic systems, drainage problems and property lines. We'll call to have public utility lines marked before digging, but we aren't responsible for damage to private lines or features we weren't told about and couldn't reasonably see.
You're responsible for confirming your property lines and any homeowners association rules. Some jobs may need a permit from your city or county, and we'll talk with you about that before the job starts.
Our workmanship and what concrete can and can't do
We're licensed and fully insured, and we stand behind our work. Any specific workmanship warranty for your job is the one written into your contract, and it covers only what that document says.
Concrete is a natural material, and some cracking is normal. We cut control joints, which are planned grooves that give the slab a place to crack where you won't notice it, but they can't stop every crack. Small hairline cracks, slight color differences between pours and minor surface changes from weather are not defects.
Unless your contract says otherwise, we don't warrant against damage caused by soil movement or settling beyond our control, tree roots, flooding, poor drainage on parts of the property we didn't work on, de-icing salts, heavy vehicles or equipment the slab wasn't built for, or lack of reasonable care. Other than what's written in your contract, our work and this website are provided without any other warranty, to the extent California law allows.
Limits on our liability
To the extent California law allows, Advanced Visalia Concrete is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, such as lost use of your property, lost income or inconvenience. For any claim about a job, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for that job.
We're not responsible for delays or problems caused by things outside our control, including weather, material shortages, utility outages, permit delays or acts of others. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have that California law says can't be limited.
Using this website
The content on this site, including text and photos, belongs to us or is used with permission. You may view it for your own use, but please don't copy or reuse it without asking us first.
We try to keep the site accurate, but we don't promise it's always complete or up to date. Links to other websites are for your convenience, and we're not responsible for what's on them.
If we disagree about a job
If you're unhappy with our work, tell us first so we can come out, look at it and try to make it right. Most concerns get settled that way. You can reach us at (559) 820-0664 or through our contact page.
If we can't work it out between us, we each agree to try mediation in good faith before going to court. Either of us may still bring a claim in small claims court if it qualifies.
Governing law
These terms and any job we do are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any court case that isn't settled through the steps above will be handled in the courts of Tulare County, California.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, and the new version applies once it's posted on this page. Changes don't affect a job already covered by a signed contract, because that contract stays as written.
If one part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
