About our concrete contractor business in Visalia

I started out as a helper on a small concrete crew, hauling, mixing and cleaning tools long before anyone handed me a trowel. I learned the trade one pour at a time, watching which slabs held up and which ones cracked, and I started Advanced Visalia Concrete here in Visalia in 2023. Most of our calls come from homeowners, with some from small business and property owners.

Those years taught me that a slab is only as good as what it sits on. That's why I care most about the work you don't see, like the packed ground under the slab, what we call the subgrade, and the prep before the truck shows up. Base work is usually the first thing a tight budget cuts, and I'll push back on that, because a nice finish over a raked, unpacked base settles and cracks with the dirt.

We're known for careful flatwork, the driveways, patios, sidewalks and other slabs that sit on the ground, and for being straight with people about what concrete will and won't do. I'd rather tell you something you don't want to hear at the estimate than have you find it out a year later.
